The Mark Glicini Meaningful Growth Foundation is dedicated to assisting individuals and families struggling to cope with the challenges of cancer.
The Foundation recognizes the physical, mental, and financial toll imposed by cancer, offering services to assist patients as they fight to defeat their disease, while ensuring family members feel supported and cared for.
In just two years, the Foundation has supported over 75 cancer patients in treatment across the country. This direct and timely financial support bolsters the hopes and spirits of recipients, reassuring them that they are not alone in their journey. The ability to pay rent, to afford transportation, to lighten the burden of medical expenses, bestows on recipients renewed energy, meaning, and purpose—augmenting their will to persevere.
Driving Force
Mark’s inspiration for establishing the Foundation is rooted in family history. Cancer took the lives of a grandfather and uncle (a U.S. Army Captain, age 26).
For many years starting in 2011, he stood by his mother’s side as she fought and overcame lymphoma. Her strength, courage, and fortitude, coupled with the unwavering support from loved ones and God’s will, ultimately triumphed over extreme adversity.
The Foundation embodies Mark’s desire to extend, to others, those things that worked so powerfully towards his mother’s survival. A key animating force is bringing together passionate people to uplift patients, instilling hope and optimism, celebrating the individual’s “meaningful growth” towards confronting cancer with resolve and dignity. While every battle cannot be won, the Foundation relentlessly strives to support patients and families in their quest for a cure.
Organizational Pillars
The Foundation’s bedrock principles speak to serving both the practical and humanistic needs of cancer patients and families:
VISION. To create a supportive community for cancer patients and their loved ones.
MISSION. To empower the well-being of those impacted by cancer by providing direct financial aid in a timely manner.
PURPOSE. To provide resources and financial aid to families negatively affected by the tensions, hardships and costs brought on by cancer.
Seeking Assistance
Families may reach out to the Foundation by submitting a simple form on its website (www.markglicini.com/foundation). The Foundation, in turn, works closely with cancer hospitals and clinics to establish family needs and develop an optimal set of support services. Thus, it is patients, families, their cancer providers, and the Foundation working together to secure funding and customize support to achieve the greatest possible impact.
All donations are channeled directly to patient and family support. Notably, the Foundation gives to both adult and pediatric cancer patients and families. Finally, the Foundation is sensitive to the fact that timeliness of response is extremely important for those in the grips of illness.
The Mark Glicini Meaningful Growth Foundation is honored to be invited into the lives of patients and families, to bear witness to joys and sorrows, contributing where it best can. The War on Cancer, harking back to the Nixon Administration, is now more than 50 years long, and continues in earnest. Denied major breakthroughs, progress nonetheless has been steady, measured in small steps, oftentimes the care and love of neighbors and community affecting lives most.

About Mark Glicini
Mark’s grandparents and parents are Vero Beach residents. He resides in West Palm Beach, where his business, Mark Glicini Peak Performance, specializing in mental performance coaching for athletes, entrepreneurs, and executives, is located. Mark is a Certified Fitness Trainer, Nutritionist & Mental Performance Coach, and Motivational Speaker. Currently, he is a doctorate student of Sport & Performance Psychology at San Diego University for Integrative Studies. A New Jersey native, Mark distinguished himself as an elite student-athlete, earning a BA in Economics from Yale University. Continuing his love of sports, Mark has been a professional lacrosse player for nine seasons, playing in Major League Lacrosse, National Lacrosse League, and Premier Lacrosse League. He hosts a podcast called Grateful and Full of Greatness.
